On wedding shopping..

I am beyond thrilled to be marrying Neil THIS YEAR [ i can say that now! ] on October 1st. We have the church, minister, hall and photographer booked. It feels like it's all coming together - as I have mentioned, this months priorities in my dress and the caterer. Both I am finding very frustrating! 


Say yes to the dress... not yet! I know I am no size 8 - and I know I need to lose weight; but I find wedding dress shopping extremely frustrating. This is not a poor me paragraph, I know I can change my weight, and with that my lifestyle. It's in the cards. However, walking into a bridal store, and seeing hundreds upon hundreds on beautiful gowns that I would love to try on, but in a size 12, 8, 14 - well as you can assume, they either do not go on (around my bust especially) or if I can get it on, it looks like I'm falling out of it everywhere. Do I feel pretty? No. Do I feel like a princess? No. Do I feel like I'll never find something? Yes. Do you feel it? Frustration. 


I have tried on likely close to 25 dresses. I have liked, truly, deep down in my heart three. There is two that are okay. The best experience I had was actually [surprisingly] at David's Bridal in Michigan. Natalie and I went, we had a fun [however slow moving] consultant and we whipped a ton of dresses on and off my body. A couple fit great - and I think thats why I really like one of them, and the other is a like-able one too. I went to Simply Irresistible in Cambridge. I tried on a really nice gown there, and liked it quite a bit - however my crowd wasn't a big fan of it. I see their points, and after all thats what they are there for.


We're going dressing trying on again tomorrow.. think of me.. but don't picture it okay? It's supposed to be a secret. 


I think March will be a little too late, with my own eyes I saw that a David's Bridal is opening in Mississauga at the 401 and Argentia Rd. I read online it's scheduled to open in March with I think will be a tad bit late for me.


The catering.. Christmas was a bad time for investigation because of the busy time of year, so I decided to put it off and start again in January. We're going to do a BBQ style dinner, and of course we want great food. Anyways, January is my month to get these two tasks done!


One last sidenote, blogging is addicting. I feel like I may never have writers block again. I hope you don't mind my blabbing.. I made a signature tonight. What do you think?
